As you notice in the video, he is large size. This makes it very comforting, having him as an emotional support dog when he puts his weight on you. Because ESAs comfort their owners through their sheer presence rather than specific task work, a standard Bernedoodle excels here due to their natural “velcro dog” tendency to stay close, lean into their person, and pick up on subtle emotional shifts. Their sturdy, larger build makes them incredibly grounding to hug, while their goofy, lighthearted personality provides a gentle, joyful distraction during moments of high anxiety or stress.
